What information of yours do we collect?
- Name
- Address & telephone number
- Email address
- IP Address
We need to know your name & address so that we can send your goods to you and verify your payment details.
We need your telephone number so that you or our delivery partners can quickly contact you in the event of a query with your order, or your delivery.
We need your email address so that we can send order confirmation and other order-related information to you.
We may also send you email offers and news, which we really do think can help save you money and keep you up to date with the latest news from Spirit of Ilmington. You can very easily unsubscribe from our offer/ information emails with a quick click in the email, or unsubscribe via our website here.
We plan who we are sending our emails to a few days in advance of the send, so you may receive further emails for up to 5-10 working days after we receive your request, but please rest assured that we will start the unsubscribe process as soon as we receive your request.
Some information we ask for is optional – give us your telephone number and we can call or text about your orders. This is handy when the courier can’t find your address, for example, or if there is a problem with your order.
We store some information about your browsing-path through our website and also your interactions with our email-newsletters.
Our communications are designed to tell you about the benefits we can offer so that you have access to our best deals. We use the information we have about you to tailor the content and try to ensure that the offers are as relevant to you as possible. Under the Data Protection Legislation, this might qualify as profiling. If you do not wish us to use your data for this purpose, please contact us and let us know – our contact details are towards the top of this notice.
Additional Data Sources
Card payment processing is handled for us by Opayo . We do not store your payment-card details, in fact we never actually see or handle your card details at any point (other than when you advise us of them over the phone and we enter them into our payment system) – our website cleverly opens a secure portal to Opayo at the point that your card details are taken – this is the same whether you place an order on the phone, or manually via the website. This is best practice, so ensures your transactions are private and protected. We receive a confirmation from Opayo that the payment has been taken, then we go on and send you your items to you if the payment is successful. There is a similar technology in place when we take payments through our other payment provider – PayPal. We only accept orders through web browsers that communicate through SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology – where you usually see a padlock or green flag on the address bar – this ensures that you are speaking to the company that you expect to be (i.e. us).
Sharing Your Information With Others
In order that we can process your order we have to share some of your data with our trusted partners.
These partners include:
- Telephone call centre
- IT systems support
- Hosting providers
- Payment processors
- Email-marketing service providers
All of your data remains within Europe.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information For?
You can be removed from our marketing database at any point you wish, as detailed above. Where you have placed an order with us, we will keep your transaction information for up to 10 years from the date of your last order, in order that we can comply with our legal requirements for financial reporting and product-traceability.
